Training
Aware has an ongoing commitment to upgrade the skill levels of our employees. A more highly skilled workforce increases our capacity to develop and diversify our business activities. Our expertise is also available to external organizations. At Aware, we strive to work wonders in the following three areas of skill development:

Workforce training
All training and assessment at Aware is aligned to the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Most of our current workforce has been assessed and accredited against AQF skill levels.
Aware’s Team Leaders, who all have disability and training qualifications, work with our Services Managers to better assess skill and resource needs, develop educational and training goals with employees, and constantly implement and monitor their training plans.

Resource development
Aware designs curricula, assessment, information and training resources for its own use as well as for other services around Australia.

External consultancy
Aware’s professional expertise works wonders for other disability and rehabilitation organisations by building their intellectual capital. Our consultancy work not only generates revenue - it also keeps Aware at the forefront of disability service delivery. Projects can range from a private two-hour session to a two-year government contract, for example Aware partnered with Wodonga TAFE to produce training materials for all Australian disability business services.

At your service

Aware’s Disability Services Manager, Jenny Ryder, and Services Development Manager,  Julie Gaffney, between them offer expertise in research, education, psychology and service management.

Our Services Managers provide resources and valuable assistance to Aware’s production and training support staff, as well as consulting to external organisations.
